Alan Dicker

Alan Dicker

Alan is committed to public interest law and demystifying legal jargon. He is a bilingual English-Spanish speaker and spent the first part of his working life in restaurants, construction, and shelters. He is especially excited to support first gen and nontraditional students as a Writing Center fellow.

Before deciding to pursue a J.D., Alan worked on issues ranging from eviction defense to environmental discrimination as a paralegal with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid. He also co-founded an immigration bond fund and was deeply involved in cross-border organizing efforts around incarceration, labor, and border enforcement.
